(Fresh Poker Faces)
(PRESS RELEASE) -- October 1, 2004 -- Fresh Poker Faces is a new
initiative of the Womens Poker Club designed for women who are new
to poker with up to six months of experience. The Fresh Poker Faces
league, to be launched in October, will offer bi-weekly tournaments
where players will learn various strategies and be able to ask a
more experienced players of WPC questions on their tournament play.
This will be a very fun and informative way for women to learn the
basics of poker. The tournament leaders each month are awarded prizes
for their placement with a goal to be graduated into the mainstream
tournament events of the Womens Poker Club.
Along with the Fresh Poker Faces league, Womens Poker Club will
conduct online classes led by experienced players at various poker
rooms, so that members have an opportunity to learn a variety of
skills in different games. The topics cover Holdem, Omaha hi lo,
7-card Stud and Pai Gow. The classes are a compliment to the ongoing
peer mentoring system that the club offers.
Womens Poker Club was created to encourage more women to enter
the sport of poker. Membership is free and available through http://www.womenspokerclub.com
