Absolute Poker is still relatively new to the only poker world. Absolute Poker is a stand alone poker room and there are no skins or partner sites. The poker room is unique looking and defintely has a very different feel then most of the other sites. Some people really like the look of it and some don't, it is a really matter of personal preference and you have to see for yourself.

There are a few negatives to Absolute Poker. One major thing is that the buttons are in a different order than the other online poker rooms. On most sites it is - left to right - fold, call and then raise. At Absolute Poker it is call, raise and then fold. This may seem trivial but if you play at a couple of different sites you may get confused the odd time and hit the wrong button. Another thing I've had problems with is the customer support. At first it was quite good but later on it seemed to get worse and the people answering the emails didn't seem to know what they were talking about and they were not very helpful. Most other people have told me they've had good luck with their customer support so it may a hit and miss.

There are also some good points to Absolute Poker. Firstly, you can customize your icons. You can use any picture you have on your computer and use it as your icon that shows when you are on the table. Another nice thing is that the text pops up in front of you on the table. So, it is much easier to talk with other players and get a conversation going. But the biggest thing I enjoy about the site is that the players aren't very good. In both tournaments and ring games (real money tables), the players are very weak and they like to bluff a lot but not well.

Basically, they have some good points and some bad points. However, I would say the biggest thing is whether you like the look and feel of the site. Some people really like it and some people really dislike it. They have a decent amount of players now, if not as many as the large poker rooms, and are growing slowly. So, if you are interested and want to try it out, give one of their free rolls a try. They have a number of tournaments every day so you can see what you think of it for yourself.
